About me
I’m a Pakistani Canadian writer pursuing my PhD in English at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. My work explores the negotiation of culture and ethnicity in migrant experiences. I write in English and Urdu, and my emerging work explores South Asian cultural traditions, migrant identity, mysticism, and intertextual art.
My work has been published by Mawenzi House in my debut collection, Crescendo. I have also been published by several literary magazines in Canada and Pakistan, such as Acta Victoriana, The Aleph Review, and flo. My writing spans multiple forms and genres, especially poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction.
In addition to writing, I play the drums and sketch in monochrome.
